The more obsevant of you/those that trawl the forum like i do may have seen that i cant insure my srad gixxer with my custom painted fairings, so i have had to put the originals back on. Since i wont be able to put this set on for a year or two at least when insurance is more reasonable, i am thinking of selling the custom set as by then i might want to change bikes anyway. What do you think is a reasonable price for such a set? Its almost the full plastics(look like genuine suzuki, just painted differently), comes with everything other than the mudguard and the ram hoses. Needs most of the bolts/fairing clippy things, but i presume anyone after a set of fairings will have these already. Pretty good condition all round, few stone chips etc but not alot wrong with em at all, they look pretty mint.

Full sets on ebay of even the stock fairings seem to be £200+, after a quick search i could only really find one custom set similarish to mine and that was on for around £300, no bids yet tho.

Just wanting to get an idea of how much you would be willing to pay for a set if you had the relevant bike and were after a set of something different.

Worth confirming with your insurance company exactly what their problem is. If it's not impacting performance it may just be that in the event of damage they will replace them with standard plastics rather than custom jobs.

I'll dig out my insurance company details tomorrow. They don't charge for extras but only put back to standard in the event of a claim.

I did try Mark, think its a case of computer says no. Besides its not all bad, if i damage this fairing i wont lose much sleep over it. I think id rather have the cash than have a tidy first big bike, ive dropped the cb twice manouvering on my drive as its a tight fit at times, so this may happen with the gsxr. Ill probably get a nice looking ride in 2/3 years time when circumstances suit it more. Dont worry phil ive already insured it, i realise they have a cooling off but as i say above im not too fussed now ive thought it thru.

You can buy the ram ducts for not too much iirc?

Bit of a revival, need to sell these before i forget about them and they gather dust. Trying to get a balllpark figure for a price, look on ebay at similar stuff i think £200 bare minimum, hopefully nearer the £260 mark. Thoughts?
