you learn something every day. i have been through Stoneheaven loads of times but never knew about that stunning castle. i was also staying in Glenbrittle when on Skye and ooohhh sooo close to the Fairy Pools. oohh well i'll just have to wait till next year :-)

some of those places though are just so beautiful that it's so hard to imagine they are real.

I'm back in the North for a long weekend mid September so will try the Fairy Falls then. That you a FB convert then ?.

nope. i hate FB. i was looking for the pictures that one of the people i met in Glenbrittle.

Did the same on Skye myself, saw the signs for the Fairy Pools but carried on up to Glenbrittle, bit further for me to venture for a return though!
