View Full Version : Bank holiday monday rideout to the cotswolds attendance thread
Meeting place will the the H Cafe in Berinsfield, OX10 7LY. The trip from the cafe-cafe is going to be in excess of 130 miles, ill give you a more definite mileage later. So for those of you who need to fill up, there is a petrol station next to mcdonalds at Benson which is a few miles south of the cafe. If you come from reading on the A4074(AKA 13 bends of death...not sure why, no extreme corners!) then youll pass Benson, the petrol station is just off of the roundabout.
Route plan to come later...
Ill be at the cafe from around 9:30am for a 10:15am departure.

What do you mean by that? I made the assumption that if he was going out he would be drinking. I know he's not tea total because he was drinking on the AR.

Right-o. Route being made as i type this, too tired to do it last night! For anyone coming through reading, the start of the a4074 by the thames will be busy with reading festival leavers so go that way if you like but you may need to add time.

Scotland I think. As usual I just arrived without warning and joined what turned out to be a bit of a long run. We ended up at an airfield called Wellsbourne Mountford, near Warwick. Few too many cars near Stratford and a couple of bits of filtering required but a nice mixed run avoiding most of the big roads.
The caff at the airfield does nice food and we sat in the sunshine watching the little planes wander about. Some of them were even noisier than Tony's stubby exhaust.
Split up on the way back and I headed down the M40 a bit before peeling off for my favourite twisty run home; Bicester, Thame, Postcombe Wycombe. Nice day.
Cheers all for coming. Went fairly well i hope for my first run led by me!

Question for the GM class of 2012, did you do the nadgery bit where Grandaddyjob nearly bought the big one under a tractor last year? I hope so as they are magnificent bits of tarmac!
Nope, we left from H's. That B road, the one with the brilliant down hill, off camber dog leg corner is leaving from Newbury and heading up from there.
