This often strikes me as strange that when my sister talks of her dream house, she describes a cottage with a painted fence, a garden and a lovely kitchen. She looks at me in horror when I tell her that my dream house has a combined sitting room and bike park with plenty of workshop space.
My dream home would have under floor heating and a pair of Bike ramps fitted as standard in the main sitting room. It would have floor to ceiling book shelves on one wall and huge tool chests on another. A great sound system would be fitted and every type of power socket needed to run tools. There would be a clear walk way to the kitchen so I could put bike parts in the Dish washer and get drinks while working on the bike.
I feel that it is her who is abnormal. :smt064

My mother introduces me with some pride as her son who bought a large garage with some living space attached...
This picture isn't entirely fair as it was after a 2 day effort clearing and installing the heavy duty shelving. Usually you can't squeeze a carrier bag between the bikes and bits. I'm trying to get better as I love it when it's tidy...
I'm with you Jayne, but having a toddler and a wife who likes a clean house means the cave and house are unlikely to become joint during any dream move!

Ok, after seeing all these I'm even more jealous. All I have is the floor of my bedroom and under the stairs for bike bits and tools. As for work space to actually work on the bike that'll be the paved pathway to my front door. It'll only get worse now I've got back into Gliding as well, there'll now be bits of plans and bizarre bits of electrical stuff everywhere...

Gixxer 750 is at Spannermans Garage getting the fork seals done. One blew big time at Assen the other week. I'm too Idle to do it myself ;)

Well as many of you are aware, securing a property with a decent sized garage isn't always realistic, at any given time I tend to have 2 or 3 bikes that belong to mates who don't have space for them while they're being worked on or stored. I've not had a garage at all up until I moved here and the first time I did valve clearances it was in the front room of a rental property. Which made it warm, but reduced TV viewing space somewhat.
There are 4 sv650s in that shot only 1 is mine, 2 are jointly owned between me and another orger and one belongs to another friend.
It's taken about 5 years to get the garage to that point, next plans are to get a compressor and some welding gear and learn how to fabricate simple stuff instead of just handing it to people who have taken the time to learn!
