Pointy, need a clean or good for a few thousand miles (paper for colour comparison)?

buy a new one, iirc they are about £25 from Suzuki

You only got it in February? May as well keep it and put a fresh one in start of next year

There's a BMC air filter on eBay delivered for £30, the auction is buy it now or best offer at £65 I offered £30 and they accepted ;)

Looks pretty good to me. I'd blow it out while I had it off and keep running it for another year at least. Look at it again in the spring.
service interval is 11,000 miles. if you can see light threw it it's fine. just give it a shake out. i tend to whack the edges off a wheeliebin or some other corner.
unless its covered in oil and is black as night then all is fine.
i have seen air filters that have needed a bag under it to take it out, they were that full.
