Yep, some may have seen the thread below in our regional section, but I thought I would share it in IB as well as I know a few of you come our way from time to time.

That's right, _Stretchie_ and I have a hot food stall at the Melksham Food Festival and we'll be serving some of our smoked BBQ. On the menu will be Pulled Pork Buns, smoked for over 15 hours (usually 17-18) and our BBQ ribs which will be available through the day as they come off the smoker.

We'll also have a couple of sides...Mac 'n' Cheese and Bonfire Beans so if you're in the area or know anyone who might be...get on over to say hello and have a taste :-)

It's very scary, but also extremely exciting for us :D

So how did it go...

The feedback from people on the food was more than I think we could ever have dreamed of. We had a lady at the stall next to us have some ribs and spend the rest of the day telling anyone who passed how good they were. We had one guy come back to tell us how much he liked it by standing and shouting at the top of his lungs that it was awesome! Such a great feeling to have everyone react so positively to the food as it's not what you get every day.

So, all in all, a great day, very grateful to those on here who travelled so far to support us.

Thanks to everyone actually :-)

Shattered now!!! :-(

Can you not vacuum pack them and have them sent by courier.

I know that other food is sent this way?

Just a thought

We can vacuum pack. Will look into the food safety aspect and report back when I know :-)

T'was excellent. There are a few places round here which do pulled pork, and I've had it in NYC (Dinosaur's Bar-B-Que for those ever in the area) and a county fair upstate and I think this was possibly the best I'd had. Normally I find it tasty, but too rich or salty to have that much but your buns were really good, not overpowering but full flavor. I couldn't resist a second one. A+

Hey...don't be sorry...just made me well up a bit as it was so nervewracking having people buy our food. We like it, but it's another thing entirely for people to be happy to pay for it so really pleased you enjoyed it:smt040

Not sure yet...but I will let you know :-)

Imagine if it were our Bonfire beans, with butter beans, barlotti beans, bacon lardons and pulled pork not to mention the 'urbs and spices that go in to it..

Hahaha, sorry chaps. Must look into delivery options, lol.

Anyway, I'll be at the Tetbury Food & Drink Festival this Sunday all day. Won't be doing hot food as it will just be me as Stretchie is away for the weekend. I'll be doing vacuum packed Pulled pork, Beef skirt and Ribs. It's much bigger than the Melksham Food Fest so I'll quiz some of the other stall holders on how they send produce.
