Swapping curvy dash for a different one?

Now trackdays are over for this year I'll soon be hiding away in my man cave tinkering. One of the projects I want to tackle is changing the standard dash for another that's smaller as I'm fitting a Triumph Daytona 675 front fairing and the current dash wont fit.
Has anyone done this to their race/track bike?
If so which dash did you fit? How easy/difficult was it?
Will a pointy dash work without much work on the wiring?

if its a track only bike just do away with the clocks all together ;)

Fair point! But I'd like to have at least a rev counter and a neutral light, not sure why but in my head it's better than nothing!

Pointy one can be done, as can GSXRK1 era... almost certainly srad as well but that's quite big. Just a bit of messing about with circuits you have to do.

Koso and Trail tech do aftermarket dashes that wont break the bank

I have a Koso DB02r on one of my SV's (which has a race mode), a Koso race dash on my YZF 750 and a trailtech stealth on my RD350LC

Anyway, my advice is fit the fairings first and maybe the clocks will fit although in a different position.

We did this on SVGTI's bike, although it has sharkskinz fairings not 675.

Says me buddy!! I'm a self-employed heating engineer so those sunny (quiet) days are long gone now the rain's here and the temperature's dropped, the phone won't stop ringing, which in turn means busy long days and no time for track days till the warmer days come round again.
Anyhow, cheers for the advice on the dashes fellas, may well go for a pointy dash, should be able to find a cheap one on here or on the bay. May just need a hand with wiring.................
