View Full Version : Road Legal Exhaust in exchange for Full m4 carbon high mount and mapped power commander
Hi Guys.
I bought my sv650 last year, and it had been really well cared for, so it had a few extra bits on it aswell. But since I only have 1 year or experience with a MC license, it is a hassle for me to get insurance for the bits.
Therefore I would like to exchange the full m4 exhaust system and power commander 3 for a legal setup.
I have dyno readings proving the effect, and the power commander has been configured to match the exhaust system, this config is not available online so keep it safe :)
I also have a tail light with integrated indicators that I will no longer need as I am replacing it with the stock tail light and indicators.
I am aware that these parts are rather expensive from new, so I expect an exhaust system which is in good condition and some cash to sweeten the deal.
Cheers

loads of standard systems on ebay, how much just to sell the system/pc3
Can't be arsed with the full system etc, but I do have a spare standard can from a pointy you can have if you are able to pick it up?
That is of course if the full system has a link pipe to put it on.
MarkandSteele: of course!

The power commander looks like a power commander, and is currently fitted under neath the pillion seat.
Curly Lee: I have no real idea of what the full system is worth. I believe it is around £650 from new, but as you can see from the pictures the logo cut off and there is a scratch on the pipe half way down.
As for the power commander, I think it has it's real value when it is sold with the system, because the map on it fits the system and has been setup with a dyno. Since I am asking for replacement parts, I would rather that we do not discuss a straight sale in this thread, but if you are looking to buy please PM me, I am sure we can work something out.
PyroUK: Sounds great! I don't know much about exhaust systems, so I can tell if I have the right link pipe. I suspect I do not, as the down pipes also seems like they are part of the current system. But I guess I could just buy new down pipes from ebay.
Some of us can't see dropbox links in work (yes I should be working :)). You should be able to display the pic using the html image tags.
PyroUK, you live in Poole right?
I am afraid it will probably be 3 weeks before I can make that trip, unless you are alright with me arriving around 8 in the evening? Thank you so much for the offer. Can I get back to you when I figure the pipe thing out?
Sorry about that Runako.
I should be working aswell :)

Let me just clarify that the tail light is integrated, but 1 of the 20 LEDS on the the turn signal has died, and 1-2 of the break lights. Not to worry, the lights still work fine, but in all fairness now you know.
Hi mate, I'm in Poole yes and in no rush so whenever you are able to grab it you can.
As long as its not during work hours or stupid o'clock it's fine by me!
I decided to use a standard system instead and then get a different end can later. I have my old setup for sale now. Exhaust, power commander and velocity stacks. Its all in the sales section.
