Hi guys,
I'm now the proud owner of my second SV, just had her over a week and haven't stopped riding, regardless of the weather!

I've just cleaned her and noticed these white sploges on the mirrors (they are after market ones) I used to get this all over the frame of my speed four after cleaning. It was just a nice gloss black before washing it.
I use the 2 bucket method, wash twice and dry with a microfibre cloth. I've used muc off and some standard car shampoo and still get the same result. Sorry about poor photo quality, damn phone wont focus!

I have checked all the shampoo / muc off has been rinsed off and been dried properly.

Any ideas how to stop the effect?

do you get a lot of furring in your kettle?

Nope, use hot tap water and that's clear

it's usually due to hard water. try a rinsing agent like fenwicks bobby dazzler or devil and see if that helps.

how expensive is it? and is it a direct replacement for the hose or is a dilute mixture?

its a pour over or pressure washer thing. haven't checked the price of devil in ages as i use bobby dazzler and that's about £10 but makes about 30ltr.

if your using a hose to rinse down then you would be better off with an inline filter think they are about £30 on your hose but should last a year or two. councils all over the country are using silly amounts of chlorine in the water to meet regulations in water quality.
