Has anyone found that being a member of a Biking Organisation has had any affect on discounting their insurance premiums?

I did a quote this morning and found BMF got me £14 saved, MAG £0

Difficult to tell sometimes. I have a "discount" through a club membership but as you can only get a quote over the phone and they don't tell you the with and without price I'm not so sure I actually get anything.

LOL - love how saying you were in MAG got you a big fat £0 discount. They probably view you as being more of a risk cos you'll be a Mad Max-style greasy ratbiker blockading the European Parliament and blowing up petrol stations who ask you to remove your helmet.

When I was a RoSPA member I never got the chance to flag it up on price comparison websites etc - was curious to see if it made a difference.

tbh I did my quote on the meerkats site so it could be better, could be worse if I did it over the phone.

Ah Chris, not in any groups yet, I was curious if anyone was and had any noticeable joy with a discount and if it was of much benefit.

so membership costs £26 but you got £14 discount.

BMF are now doing their own insurance. i wonder if they insure modified bikes?

I think they are teamed up with MCE and that was around £100 more than the cheapest quote
