Grant, you aren't planning on putting them in your headlight are you?

Is red not illegal as a sidelight?

You can only show white light to the front of the bike, and amber as indicators.
That £3.50 mod could get expensive...

As Dave says, it's an easy reason for a tug and a ticket if unlucky.
Led sidelights are great, but the heat from the main beam can cause early failure.

Let us know how they work (the white ones). My bike has blingy blue sidelight bulbs (and headlight come to that) and I'll get round to changing them some time.

I had "blue" ones (actually UV, but gave off a violet light), that I swapped out, in the end I thought I would get away with them - I was worried about the fact thatBlus front facing is reserved for the police/emergency services...
I put some monsterous ones on my Z750 - 17 LEDs I think, ended up having to make a shield to stop the top row from ruining my night vision where they reflected on the underside of my screen :)
If my SV survives its last little incident I have some cool (and potentially VERY naughty) plans for my sidelights :)

After seeing this thread I bought some of these LEDs, they are bright, and they are white, definitely worth the money, not a great picture but this is them against my Philips X-Treme Power. Think they make the bike more noticeable night and day!

Well they say 12 months warranty, and i know it's only £3.50 but can't hurt to contact the seller and see if they'll send you a new set?
