My pointy 2004 starts on the button but only has a higher-than-normal tickover for about ten seconds. When properly warmed up ticks over fine at about 1100 rpm but while cold often stalls. Anyone know how to adjust fuelling for cold running?
Cheers.

Adjuster on STV controls 'choke' idle speed.

What is STV? and where do I find the adjuster? Cheers.

that's your problem right there. should tick over at about 1300RPM setting it to that speed when hot will help on cold running.
when was the last time the throttle bodies were balanced?

Thanks mate, seems to have sorted it. I have no idea when the bodies were balanced as I've only had it for three weeks but will be getting to grips with it over the winter so may have them looked at then. Cheers.
As this is a K4, you may be able to just up the idle speed adjuster when it's warm:

That's exactly what I did. Cheers.
