Ok as some may know my tiger was nicked and recovered a few nights ago (thankfully so were the pikey ****ers who nicked it)
they ripped off the seat and cut the wiring loom just below the ignition switch, now ive soldered the wires back together and get power to the lights and dash, but nothing from the fuel pump no priming at all.
fuses and everything i can think of have been checked and now im stumped
So two questions
1/ does anyone have a clue what it could be
2/ is there anyone with a scoobies that can come have a look in preston

i'm up cackle at the min and having to use the wifes trike to get to work , which (A) she's not impressed with and (B) its a ****ing nightmare taking it down some of the carpy roads ive to use to get to work

but wait theres more
im absolutely skint at the minute and on perminant nights (joys of new job)

so if someone could help a dossy paddy who's close to going postal (litrally) it would be most appreciated

and now for the final tear jerking fact
this has happened 3 weeks after i bought the tiger cos my SV1000 was nicked

so someone please restore my faith in humanity

I'm kinda a bit far down in Essex, but does this link help?

Something in there may be useful for a wiring diagram?

Girth? Not spoken to him in an age, but sure he's still at Youles so can pop to the workshop and ask.

Dave,
I'm no where near and I don't know much about Tigers or Tiggers. Quick question:

1) Is there any kind of immobiliser, either factory or after-market on this bike?
2) Are all fuses pretty and happy?

Edit: I know you answered point 2 already but I'm just going to ask again because I'm a pain like that.

I know nought about trumpets. But my concern would be in their attempt to bypass your ignition and the wholesale cutting of the loom that they may have fried the ECU.

Obvious basics need properly checking. Have you got access to tiger wiring diagram? Can you run a feed to the pump to ensure it is working etc.

I'm only round the corner, but only know very basics, so probably not much help I'm afraid!

Let me know where your nearest Triumph dealer is and I'll try to sort something with one of my colleagues. PM me if you would prefer but hopefully I should be able to help in some small way.

Hello people,
I hope you can get me out of a serious issue here, bike got nicked and they managed to

- bend the seat cradle
- cut the ignition loom
- fry the battery
- and most importantly stop the bike from running

this is how it stands atm

pros

ignition wires soldered back together
new battery in place
all fuses checked
lights / indicators / horn and clock all working

cons

instruments eg fuel ,temp ,mileage , warning lights (except high beam weirdly) not working

injectors not priming ( no initial "whirl" when key is turned)

after a confab with a mate ive put a new ecu on her with no change and as stated a new battery (this has wiped out all available funds)

she is sitting in neutral with no green light showing ( wheel spins freely)

I don't have tuneECU or cable (how you get fault codes on a tiger)

no alarm attached

im seriously up cackle creek if I cant get this sorted quick smart
so any help will we greeted with true appreciation

thankyou in advance

Dave

tip over sensor
idiot switches

it's possible that if the fuel etc.etc is LCD then by cutting the loom they may have fried the display. same can go for analogue.

check the rest of the loom for cuts.

do you have an antitheft on the ignition?

no cuts that i can see, no anti theft as far as I know

Dave you spoken to Rictus?
Have you checked the fuses, with what you told me I would have a gut feeling that the region rec might have took a massive hit

Double check clutch and side stand switches.

Don't ignition switches have diodes in them? Could these have fried?

I suspect it's something simple that controls in some way all the stuff that isn't working (I know that's obvious)

I would get a wiring diagram and go through it systematically ticking each part off the list.
