I'm covered in splashed pigeon. So's the bike...
It hit just near the bottom of the fairing and then piled into the front of the engine and radiator. Guts splashed up under the front screen and covered my visor...
Nice.
Currently picking pigeon tubes of my gear linkage...

Grim
I can offer no assistance here, however! Good luck :compress:

I guess I'll see how well the specialist cleaner stuff works on my textile jacket. Bought it with the jacket a couple of years back and never had to use it.
One splashed pigeon goes a long way...

When I went out to take a closer look at lunchtime there was a big cloud of flies buzzing around the bike. I can't believe how much blood comes out of one ickle pigeon.
I'm particularly taken with the blood spatter inside the fairing and screen.
Yet to find the beak...

The family of the pigeon will be suing you for millions.
You should be proud, you achieved what Muttley and Dastardly never could :p

Accelerating through three figures is all I'll admit to...
I saw the damn bird launch from the verge and then everything went red.
At least it's now a proper Gore-Tex jacket.

I have some pitures on my phone which I can't post.
I'll take some pictures of the clean up if it still looks sufficiently gory.
Sadly the tubes on the gearshift have now gone.

The joy of spatter. Not shown; one bloody jeans leg, blood and feathers splattered up the boot and some spatter up the trouseer leg. Nice

Bearing in mind that this is after 36 hours drying time and a ride through light drizzle.
Thanks,

Yep, lovely meaty goodness. The radiator is full of the contents of the crop and intestinal tract. That has an interesting aroma.
The jacket now smells really awful. I'll be sticking it in the wash tonight once I've worked out how to remove the body armour.

Achievement unlocked. Hunt a pigeon, using a motor vehicle as ammunition.
At least it was a pigeon and not a deer or similar.
Tried pressure washing it all off? Works pretty well.

Ooft! A picture does say many words!
As the dude says above, at least it was only a pigeon.
Good luck with the rest of the cleaning. I bet it'll be a while 1)before you get the smell out your nose and 2)before you want to have pigeon on toast!! :)
You should be proud, you achieved what Muttley and Dastardly never could :p
I chuckled!
Do not use a pressure washer directly on the Radiator, the fins are fairly delicate.
Impressive results anyway!

dilute a blood stain remover designed for clothes into a trigger spray bottle the wash down and rinse off. that should get rid of any nasty stuff. or try my favourite all time cleaner 'Fenwicks Motorhome Cleaner'. or take it to your local hand car wash and part with some cash to get them to do it.

I'm thinking about lacquering over the whole lot and leaving it as a dire warning to all pigeons.

Couldn't you stencil a pigeon on the fairing like fighter pilot do with kills?
I chuckled!

Finally! Someone got it :D
Take it through a sheep dip, smell can't be much worse.
Water will be enough go remove it and if you have the funds take kit to dry cleaners

All the pigeon came off the bike easily enough with some generic auto shampoo and the occasional squirt of Muc-Off.
Jacket washed used that Nikwax Tech Wash stuff and then sprayed with the proofer. I bought it with the jacket years ago so I'm surprised it's still in the cupboard.
Everything is now squeaky clean and fresh smelling.
I do wonder whether there's any squished pigeon under the petrol tank though... I guess the mechanic will find out at the next service!
