So - having finally fended this off for the last year, the SV is officially now up for sale.

While it's an absolute hoot to ride, and the noise alone never fails to put a grin on my chops, the harsh reality is that it's just not the right bike for what I need it for. My 50 mile round trip daily commute in all weathers isn't all that much fun on a naked, and it's too good a bike to use as a hack over winter.

DETAILS
K4 naked in YC2 Grand Candy Blue
Mileage: 29,000 (ish)
Price: £2000, ONO

The Good...

GSXR front end, so USD forks & fantastic brakes
GSXR rear shock - balances out the front end nicely
Mivv carbon can & mid-pipe sound 'magnificent'
Starts, stops, steers and runs perfectly
Proper full service done at the weekend (c/o Cris @ Abbey Motorcycles): new oil, filter, air filter, plugs, brake fluid etc, brakes cleaned up, valve clearances done,
Good, newish tyres (Michelin PR3 on the back, PR2 on the front)
MT headlight
MotoGadget dash
Long MOT - June 2014, and it's sailed both tests I've put it through

The Bad...

Tax runs out at the end of October
It's had a drop - I've filled in a small dunt/scrape that was in the tank but the colour match isn't right and it could really use a decal/sticker/someone who knows what they're doing to finish it off.
Patchy service history, (hence why I gave it the full works ^ above)
Some of the finish is starting to get a bit tatty, nowt a little bit of loving wouldn't see right though and certainly nothing out of place no a 9 year old SV.

So, there you have it - an SV650 with the brakes & suspension both sorted, fully serviced, taxed (ok, just!), MOT'd and ready to roll.

PRICE DROP - Got to be worth £1800, ONO of anyone's hard earned, surely?!

How tatty is it?

It's really not too bad Kev, usual stuff like the engine paint is a bit flakey, and some of the bolts / fixings are a little fuzzy. Stuff like that.

The tank is a bit of a sore point. I filled the dunt and tried to spray the affected area but the supposed colour matched paint wasn't quite what it was sold to be.

End result is it could use either a proper respray or some well placed stickers if you want a really tidy finish.

That said, it's not THAT bad!

D&G is a very long way from me...and I wasn't really looking for an SV again, but am tempted here at the right price.

It is the commute to and from London, so I think the SV might be a good compromise for me...

I'm not usually into the naked SV's but damn that's a tasty looking bike, good luck with the sale!
