Evening all. This is probably of more interest to those of you down south but I thought I'd put this out there for everyone.
On Sunday 1st December there is a Santas on Bikes event at the Goodwood Motor Circuit. There is a 30 quid entry fee, which is going to support a local hospice, and you get to ride 2 laps around the motor circuit (ok, more parade lap than caning it but should still be great fun) followed by a ride up the hill climb at Goodwood House. Personally, I'd pay 30 quid to ride either, it's a really good cause and it's only 15 minutes away so it was a no brainer. Details are on the St Wilfred's website:

Hopefully there will be herds of us, all dressed as Santa, blatting around this little bit of West Sussex. See y'all there?

WTF No pillions? At 30mph it's not like you're going to be tearing up the blacktop...
Would have probably made the 4/5hr round trip for it but that's kind of put me off :(

So who made it?

So who made it?
Me! Along with my better half, father in law, several people from work and a few others. I thought it went really well, they got about 120 people in the end, most dressed in some sort of santa outfit and some really well decorated bikes too. It went so smoothly we go to do 2 extra laps around the circuit and the hilllclimb. Now, obviously, with the 30mph limit very clearly stated, I mentally blinded myself to any speedo reading above 29, to avoid disappointment. I have to believe that, if only for insurance purposes, the Goodwood track car at the front and the police motorcycle behind would have kept us safely below 30, especially for the second run. So I'll assume that it merely felt like we were doing over twice that. Because of course we couldn't have been;)
The bacon butties are always good there too, made from happy pigs. Hi to anyone else who was there and and went entirely unrecognised

Yeh, a bit sad the speed limit but was good fun anyway. Bacon buttie was great but i didn't have time to go the second time.
Probably i was the less santa bike all in black :( didn't have time to prepare anything

I was out with the first group and the camera land rover. I'm pretty sure the pace car got bored because we definitely were not at 30. Still sedate compared to any GM rideout though.

If you were wearing a pair of very fetching white stockings over your boots, there's quite a few pics of you on the St Wilfrids Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/stwilfridschichester/photos_stream
