All i am going to say at this current point in time is my company are retarded. They have a high average age with lots of people of high age and Final salary pension service in or are Young enough to cut and run for money. So what do they do? Remove overtime, weekend working and roster days costing 3.5k and 4 weeks off a year to their staff. so we are retiring/running/going on a go slow. Stupid clowns interviewed for an electrician and the bloke couldn't read an electrical drawing.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't go for it. You'll have to make sure you make an effort to go back "home" to keep up with your old friends, but you'll make new ones. I've not managed to live in the same place for more then 4 years since I was 18, there is always an adventure to be had somewhere else.

You will need to learn a new language and how to not feel the cold.T shirts are the normal winter dress code.Swimming in the sea is mandatory, and most Geordies know a brass monkey welder. They used to build ships when I was there but I hear that has gone out of fashion these days.So cars it is then.

It is true that you may initially struggle with the outrageous dialect. Especially in a pub, when the speed of the language increases! I always feel really sorry for southerners in that situation, oddly Geordies seem to be able to understand others quite well so at least you will be able to communicate.

The valleys should be fine as most can't understand them neither.
The northerners will get a good giggle from this

I'm not a valleyite!!!! Anyway, I've applied, got nothing to lose just need my severance package to be approved first to assist my move and happy days. If i don't like it, I can phone it in for 2 years and reapply for jobs back where I am now once my severance timer runs out.

I forgot to mention (Seeing they got the Pope to hold the shirt *spit*) you will have fun as neutral in the factories. This causes many arguements
