Hi all,
After nearly 4 months since I passed my test (A2), it suddenly occurred to me that my full aftermarket exhaust might be putting me past the 46.6bhp that I'm licensed to handle.
Is this likely? If it is, is there any point in having the restrictor plates fitted if they are not actually restricting it too 46.6BHP?
The way I see it if mr police man decides to investigate my bike and it's power output, I'm fubared either way (with restrictor and aftermarket exhaust, or without the restrictor)
Thanks in advance
Ryan

What bike have you got (includin year) and how is it restricted?
Most Kits are for the older 33bhp restriction level so your likely be well inside anyway!

It's a curvy 1999 two carb plate thingies bought from kick start engineering on eBay. They are definitely for the 47bhp restriction.
I fitted them myself and had them checked and the certificate signed by a garage, not that the piece of paper makes a blind bit of difference haha!

Then the only way youre going to know for sure is to get a dyno run done yourself.

You can see it in the pic below, not sure which one it is but it's loud as hell :)

If it's a regular slip-on end can it won't be making any difference to bhp.
It would be a good idea to get a dyno test done as proof if it's ever needed though. Someone here was pulled a while ago and had a nightmare getting everything sorted out.

How would I know if it's slip on? It was on the bike when I bought it
Cheers
You'll need to have a look at the rest of the pipework to see if it's a complete system or stock.
If you're not sure what to look for I'm sure a decent garage/mechanic/local organ would be able to tell you. From your pictures it looks like an end can only set up with a high level link pipe. Best to check though.

Post some pics of the rest of the pipework.
Chances are it's not making a blind bit of difference!

Looking at the pictures it appears your baffle has fallen out (note the fixing hole at the bottom of the third picture). That might explain some of the the loudness.
