View Full Version : Ring Of Red
Is anybody else thinking of joining in with the Ring of Red run around the M25 ?
I am on nights this weekend but hoping to be at Beaconsfield Services for about 10:00 on Sunday for a brew and a natter and join in the ride around the M25.
I just need to get a red fleece or jacket now for the day.
There is a facebook page so take a look and get the bike out on Sunday...

I was thinking of doing this. Most of my gear and the VF750 are red anyway, so i wouldn't need to do much.
i'm almost the opposite corner though.... J4-5

what is the draw/want to ride around the M25?! it's very dull and riddled with damned speed cameras! :smt097
so I presume as I haven't searched it out there must be some other draw to this?!
What about all thoes on "L" plates, must be in their thousands ?..
M25 so no show for them.....bummer.
Well a red bike and a red jactet, thats me in then.
Tony, what time are you thinking of getting to Beaconsfield for ?
Or, fancy meeting up beforehand so we don't have to hunt for each other there ?

How'd it go then go then Guys. Did it get close to being a ring of Red?
Either way what a good visable tribute. I hope it grows in popularity next year.

kicked off from south Godstone at 12, caught up with the group starting from Cobham at 12.15, 74 miles in 85 minutes, probably the most boring motorway ride I've ever done, but that wasn't the point, good idea and most happy to be a part of the whole thing.

Did get a confirmation we did it at the end at the service station.
I did expect more then 4 sv650.org members to attend though, but I expect that EVERYONE Was busy.
They may do this next year.
I saw this on the BBC website this morning, the M25 is a tad far for me to get to though!
Well done to everyone who took part. I suspect with more publicity more people will join in next year.

I was there. Started at Cobham and rode the whole loop. 55 - 60 for over 2 hours....phew. Made up for it with a more spirited *ahem* ride home.

I was there, didn't take the SV though. (VF is red), sedate ride, but the spirit of the thing was fun.
Will def do again next year if it's on.
