Somewhat SV unrelated, alright I admit it, totally SV unrelated, but would anyone in the Gloucestershire area have access to a pillar drill and be able to help me upgrade the fingers of my dovetail jig. I bought an upgrade kit for the jig and didn't realise I had to modify anything (didn't say that in the ad!).

This would involve drilling a small hole in 26 aluminium "fingers". I've already prepared a jig to align the fingers as per the upgrade instructions so should just be a case of align the jig, then place each finger in the jig and drill through.

The fingers are shown in the pic above, and the holes go in the sides at the back, opposite the curve.

Sadly, as I'm fairly new to the region, I don't have any buddies with this kind of kit that I can blag a favour from, and I just don't have the room or cash to add a pillar drill to my tool kit.

Really Squirrel, and which idyllic showcase postcode do you hail from that allows you to throw around such 12-year-old schoolboy one-liners? :smt065

It's a nice place. Used to swim there 2 or 3 times a week. The scenery is great, the town is, well, nice.
