Even by my standards that was close, still no paint transfer equals not too close. Wouldn't want to try it myself though. Like my legs and my kids.

Shame really as he starts off quite well with the shoulder check and by taking up a nice early central position, but he then spoils it by committing to follow the right hand car before it was clear if it was going to stop or not, and then when the driver does decide to stop it leaves him with rather a tight swerve to make the gap. What then follows is just a pure lack of forward observation. He was so intent on making the gap and pinning the throttle to clear the junction that he completely failed to see the car turning across his path, and that mistake just escalated. If he had just let his bike trickle through the gap apart from jumping the light it would have been a complete non event.
