Time for Soulkiss to submit the 'Let's ride round the M25' idea again. :p
Can all those putting in bids please avoid the following dates:
31st May
14th June
5th July
19th July
30th August (or Verna will set Zig on you)
And also ensure that it definitely won't rain, and that I can pitch my tent on the top of a hill so that if it does rain (but you have to make sure it doesn't) I don't wake up with my face in a soggy puddle and all my clean clothes soaking wet like this year. :smt101
Marvellous!

Also, there must be strippers and a bikini/nude bike wash station.
And at least one place for Criggers to throw his girlfriend down the road. Any roundabout or sharp corner will do.

And if Clare could avoid poisoning herself and keeling over in the bar this year that would be helpful too.

That was Job's fault. He forgot to put up the "don't feed the animals" sign.

Anyone putting in bids, please ensure there are convenient hotels local to wherever you propose.
Whilst I don't mind socialising with you lot. I do have minimum standards such as a comfortable bed, bathroom etc. Yes, I have been known to camp. But where there have been facilities.

Many many toilets are a must. The bogs this year got absolutely destroyed.

Yes I really don't fancy another year driving home wearing filthy jeans, pink wellies and an inside out pajama top. I like to save that outfit for special occasions.

Whilst I don't mind socialising with you lot very very occasionally for short periods. I do have minimum standards such as a comfortable feather bed, gold plated bathroom etc. Yes, I have been known to act a bit camp and make all sorts of diva demands.
Corrected for you Tim :D

I seem to remember the ones at 2012's Essex AR didn't fare much better... Although they did at least remain correctly oriented for the duration.

We never had these problems with the ladies toilets at either venue.

You want to visit a man named David at his B&B Wingaba in rake. I told him about you and he seemed mildly interested.
An ex-colleague of yours was supposed to but never got around to it.
(Completely unrelated to this thread, I know but if I didn't tell him now I'd have forgotten)

Cheers Matt - I've forwarded the details on to the guys on the road to check them out. Also, I've added your name onto this month's referrers list (http://www.motogoloco.com/blog/events/recommend-a-venue/) - might as well be in with a shout of bagging a free trip away for your pains!

But surely you want these places to allow Org members there again don't you? Once they've seen some of our number in onesies, crayon outfits, makinis, sparkly bikinis or looking like satan with an axe surely they'll never let come back, even in small numbers?

I've said far worse many times before, they love us, said we weren't even close to being the worst they've had.
Never did get that side order of blowjob though :(

Then England will have to reschedule the Test matches. The head coach owns an SV so we can insist he comes to AR.
It'll be raining so I guess they'll be postponed anyway ;)

The problem with Test Cricket is that it can even outlast the rain in this country...

I'm not fussy, Cricket isn't something that affects me, neither does rain (well non torrential rain)

Suffice to say though, it'd be great if the two big annual forum rideouts didn't fall on the same dates mind.

Good point about the GM, people won't want to choose between them.
Jon and I will probably do a TOGMIE2 if we can find a date that suits us and doesn't clash with AR once that is confirmed.
We'll have the AA on standby - that's motorcycle recovery for Matt and Alcoholics Anonymous for everyone else.
Spank86
13-11-13, 08:06 AM
why not bid for the AR then Claire?
That way you could pick your date.
Littlepeahead
13-11-13, 09:02 AM
No we've had it in Essex a few times already lately. We're happy to do a TOGMIE, James at the campsite/pub is very laid back and happy to have us back again, and Jon and I can have some fun planning a route over the spring, but AR needs to move around the country and it's fun to visit an area where we haven't been before and meet Orgers who we don't see that often. Everyone knows that if we do a TOGMIE then all are welcome and they'll be cake, a fire and much silliness.
You know how it is for me, there are a few weekends a year that I just cannot get off work because we have a major match on, but luckily I don't have to be in for every Middlesex game, Eton v Harrow, Varsity etc. So I just have to keep my fingers crossed that the organisers choose a date I can make.

Whaere's the Dave Preston lead Pub-crawl AR we were promised?

Or Somerset way - not that there's anything wrong with ooop North but I don't think there's been a cider drinking bumpkin run since 08 - before my time.
Or we could go to the same place as this year as by then Matt will have bought Loomies and he can give us all free non-poisonous food all weekend.
Matt-EUC
13-11-13, 01:13 PM
Matt might have bought Loomies. Matt is still thinking about it. Anyway, all you ****ers are paying double.

There's an awful lot of north up there. Let's hope they can find enough decent roads to string an AR together. ;)

I'm happy to go pretty much anywhere tbh. I also think an Irish or French AR would be awesome.
Or an ORG lands end to john o'groats.
Or a TOGMIEurope.
Although I think on a TOGMIEurope we'd need a tyre stop as well as innumerable fuel stops.

I get up to 30 days free. :D
Also, we only need to have somebody carry a litre of oil.
I think it may be prudent to have a compulsory oil check and chain check (I'm looking at you Jason) before we leave.

There is a plan in the offing. No Matt we ride proper roads up here, you southerners won't know what to do. ;)
It might even go to Scotland, as it would be rude not to
The pub crawl AR ended up as pub crawl during the planning
