View Full Version : Who has ever been out on Christmas Eve?
Didn't even realise there were nights out on the 24th. My best mates cousins were on one tonight, so I got convinced out (into what I thought would be an empty Milton Keynes night out).
It was actually heaving and I'm still buzzing.
Merry xmas all. Santas not gonna approve of my antics this year (not one little bit).

I used to head out every Christmas eve - its one of my favourite nights of the year. But now its not really appropriate with a 2 year old daughter.

Yep used to roll in about 5am and try and wrap presents inebriated :) monkey hint i can see how getting a beer in for a two year old could be a problem but maybe try a sippy cup ;)
Used to gig xmas and NYE.
But I was ever so much younger then ;)

I used to go out every Xmas eve, preferred that to new year tbh, but since meeting my wife we don't now as she cooks Xmas dinner and doesn't want to with a thick head.

Used to from about ages 18-28.
It's fizzled out as friends have moved away and had kids and stuff but yeah it's a quite busy night.
Down here more relaxed than NYE and generally more fun.

Used to do it every year. Great fun but always ended up feeling rough as hell Christmas day. Most of my friends don't live anywhere near my parents now so I don't bother anymore.

I'd have to drive into town which is full of Joey Essex wannabes, or the local, which it's a Toby Carvery. Neither really appeals. And if you're the one getting up early on Christmas day to prepare dinner you don't need a late night. I stayed home with port, stilton, and a David Tennant interview on Radio 4.
It meant I saved my energy for Christmas day, up at 7am and stayed up till 2am watching the Ashes.
One thing I've noticed about MK is that it's never empty. Even on the most random nights.

27, so getting on a bit. And as littlepeahead stated about energy levels, mine were definetely ruined on xmas day.

The only problem with going out chrimbo eve is the tossers who finish work mid afternoon then by 8 are ready to fight the world!!! Usually found crying in the corner by 9. Once the riff raff are gone its usually a brilliant happy night if drinking. My favourite Christmas Eve was spent getting drunk with my brother when we where still living at home. On the stagger home we found an abandoned buggy near a bin so I got a free ride home!! It even started to rain so we fitted the rain cover.
My mothers face chrimbo morning when she found a battered old buggy in the kitchen!!
