I like Turkish delight, my MIL always buys me some, I will be glad to see the back of Xmas songs on the radio and people flapping about Xmas too.

Did we have Xmas, I seem to have had a very unfun xmas?
Can't be bothered eating all the things I usually eat at Chrimbo, can't really be bothered to drink either.

Spending a month in Thailand was nice because we missed a lot of the build up. Given that I am not a Christian, I do not celebrate the Christ thing anyway, but I am well sick of how the supermarkets and other shops are filled with rabid shoppers, Christmas songs and demands to shoppers to consume so much rubbish.
Thankfully the one good saving grace for me is New Year which will involve a big party at our local biker pub. This is the first New Year since my friend Heather passed away a little while ago, so it will be a little sad not seeing her face there though.
I think it was nice of the Christian's to adopt the pagan festival as there holy day.

It's been nice to just take a time out with the family and get bored together :)
I have eaten too much rich food and drank way too much booze, just like most others no doubt, and will be glad to get back to normality again but it's generally been a nice and simple affair with just me and my closest this year. No entertaining anyone and not having to worry about anyone else for once.
I am sick of chocolates, good job I have some nice cheeses to switch to :)

Christmas songs on the feckin radio! The same dreary dross every year, sounding older and older...

Yep, it really winds me up to Pete, they bloody start in november too so by Xmas it's really ground me down.
Far kin Christmas lights. One guy down my road started setting up 3rd week of November with a giant inflatable Santa. Took every ounce of self control not to go and puncture the damn thing.
For me Christmas is just a couple of free days off work to catch up with my family, the rest of it can take a running jump. Bah and humbug!

Furniture adverts, magazine "introductory offers", TV guilt chugging adverts, perfume adverts.... hmm maybe just Christmas TV, everything else I think has been pretty good this year.
I know a guy who was so unlucky, he bought a 3 pice sweet When they didn't have a sale on. ;)

Is there such a day in the entire year?
The annoying holiday ads have started now, taking over from the wretched perfume ads which I never miss once Chrimbo is over.

The whole fact that it's a religious day. It's all commercial. Most kids nowadays believe Xmas is just about presents. Which is totally missing the whole point.
