Pointy engine differences?

Can anyone tell me if there's any differences between the 2003 through to the 2006 pointy 650s engines... I know they went to twin spark in 2007.

I'm looking to buy a new engine, strip, re-build and begin tuning. So can I buy any pointy engine from any year or not???
