Latex gloves, recommend me some good ones...

Does anyone use good quality latex/nitrile gloves that don't rip virtually as soon as you put them on?

I tried many many different brands and can't find any that are up to the job, I'm after orange ones preferably, Im just getting sick to death of doing mechanical jobs and going through loads of pairs on one job purely because they are crap, I'm not even putting them through that much tbh.

Any help appreciated, non useful posts will be removed.

Cheers, but I've tried similar ones and prefer the feel of the skin tight latex type, I haven't tried the wurth ones Gav mentioned so I'll give them a go.

I have a pair of long rubber gloves for using chemicals so I just want latex gloves purely for oily stuff.

REALLY grippy so i originally got them for tiling, they have a 1mm think coating that goes over your knuckles too so were a godsend changing wheels on a car (how many times have you hit your knuckles doing that!!)

I now use them at work (removals) and so do 5 other guys there.... only downside is they are 'one size' and i have ape hands so they split inbetween my thumb and forefinger... and if you wear them for too long they start to smell (machine washable though!)

I totally agree with DanSp, those types of gloves are brilliant! I had some and used them a a lot! Although on mine the rubber was ridged (extra grip but you lose sensitivity)

If you want something throw-away "bodyguards" nitrile gloves are apparently very good, most tattoo artist use them and they're pretty sturdy

If you want something throw-away "bodyguards" nitrile gloves are apparently very good, most tattoo artist use them and they're pretty sturdy

Bodyguards are what I use for dirty jobs - recommended by a mechanic friend and the best I have used.

Ansell TNT 92-675 nitriles are good, but a bugger to buy in the UK and pricey, Skytek Teal nitriles are a bit sweaty but are pretty sturdy, again hard to get in the UK unless you're ordering bulk through a supplier. We found Bodyguards (latex) and Contact Senses (nitrile) were prone to tearing so you might want to avoid those. If you can get the Ansell's they would be my recommendation as I have to wear them at least 7 hours a day and I can't wait until we get them back instead of the Skytecs, I never realised that I was so strongly opinionated about nitrile gloves!
