View Full Version : Hampshire ride out
Hi I am new to the site having recently acquired my SV650S. The northern borders ride out, whilst no doubt superb, it is little far for me. :(
I was wondering whether there were any Hampshire ride outs planned over the coming months. Can anyone shed light?

Have a look in the Guildford Massive Section, we drift into Hampshire. Some of the brave souls will be emerging from hibernation soon.

Actually, you're the cretin who can't get your bike out.
Yeah the GM lot are your best bet depending in where you are based. I'm in Poole but join up with the rabble from GM on occasion.
Welcome! There will be some rides posted up shortly, as the weather improves! where abouts are you from?
If I didn't have to go to Birmingham for work today, I would have been out for sure!

I floated the idea, so you have me to thank for you lot going out.
Pob. Me and spank are local to you, myself currently in West end but moving to join spank in eastleigh in the next few days.

Poor spank.
And How do, Pob.
The GM is good for actually going for a ride, occasionally. When Fallout's shed makes it to the end of the road without falling apart, when its dry enough for Wideboy to take his shiny white SV out, Spank is not too hungover to wake up, DaddyJob is not the other side of the country and about to "Pop back" for loomies at 11, and SVNewbie and I can be ar5ed to ride for 70 miles to the start of a rideout.

Hurt?
Is that because it rained earlier?

And to think I told WB you would be welcome any time.
Well sir, I retract that offer with immediate effect!

Too late for that spank.
Apparently not.
It seems I'll have to invite them over mine instead.
Wide boy thats uncanny I live in West End too!!
Road through the New Forest last night on way back from Fordingbridge and 2 effing deer ran right in front of me. Emergency braking to a point a stalled the bike and felt sure I would collide!! Missed them by inches, fortunately only doing 40ish otherwise could have written my SV and I've only had a few weeks. I hate f###kg deer now!!:smt013

Thanks you lovely forum people. :) your all very welcoming and i like the site.
I travel from West End to Southampton every day. Still getting used to the SV so not as hearty filtering through traffic!!:smt120
Nearly wrote it off last night travelling through New Forest as animals with suicidal tendencies throwing themselves in front of me!!.
Look forward to joining a Hampshire ride out soon

You were lucky then, 2 bikers hit a horse on the a31 weds night. One died.
Bloody animals
Yes very sad. The A31 runs alongside the Forest. I wasn't aware of the accident until this evening. After the deer incident on the road it was shortly followed by a forest pony scurrying after another forest pony in front of me. Damn I now will avoid the Forest at night! :(

He's the guy on the white curvey with a DIY stubby can. He found it at someone's house.

I'd recommend the south downs instead of the new forest.
There are still deer but less of them and higher speed limits. Once we get a ride out organised I'm sure we can show you a couple of our favourite roads... you might even survive the experience without riding off a cliff.

I always find the New Forest donkeys to be particularly stupid animals.
We're coming down to Lyndhurst for a week from 2nd May which covers the bank holiday so if anyone is about it would be great to see you.

Near the cemetery in west end wide boy. I own a silver SV650s but I haven't seen any others around West End. I ve only had since mid December

Welcome to the GM Pob.
And we do actually ride occasionally between the bouts of banter.
I will return upon release from this bloody cast on my ankle...and I've finished making some more tweeks to the bike. ;)
Cast!? What you gone and done mate?

Nah, my chain is fine.
I may have broken my ankle in two places following having the SV on top of it though.
This cast comes off a week on monday. Hopefully they'll give me the green light.
Anyway, enough of the de-railing...
