This is primarily aimed at those who like to like to be a bit 'creative' with their riding. Scoobs, Hindle, Raf to name a few..

...... or maybe a nice entrance by Mister and Mrs Lone Wolf?

Good find DB!

But in all seriousness we don't want accidents.

On the way up folks:

The A68 is the arterial road to Edinburgh from the A69 and will have plenty of wagons on it.
The A696 is the Military Road to the Otterburn Barracks and has everything on it (cracking bit of High speed biking road though)

AR13: Matt-EUC blow-up is a hell of a lot worse than a crash (for the ribbing)

Matt-EUC

Correction. TOGMIE 13.

AR11: The lone wolf & Mrs

Technically, that wasn't a crash. More like a grand entrance fall off.

A well earned trophy for Dumb ass of the year 2011 :-D

Are we including all ride outs?
If so,
Sometime in 2012(?): Tomor (deer)

Does Hong dropping his bike about 4 times on the way to Wales for AR count? These days he's joined a gym as it's a less expensive way to lift weights.

Matt-EUC
24-02-14, 09:33 AM
I think only ones during a ride out...

dizzyblonde
24-02-14, 12:25 PM
Annual Rideouts only

However, if we are going to include smashing animals to pieces en route

I hold the title for blasting bambi into kingdom come without crashing, turning up to the AR bike and rider unscathed, doing the rideout, then doing a 2000 mile trip round France on the same bike three weeks later.

This is all which was left of bambi

TOGMIE and GM are technically ride outs which are annual.

dizzyblonde
24-02-14, 12:49 PM
TOGMIE is regional.

The other two are annual nationals.

Littlepeahead
24-02-14, 01:12 PM
Surely we have one official AR then everything else is just another regional rideout but open to all as it's organised by one region? Some happen to also be annual such as Shakedown, TOGMIE and Viney's in the south.

That aside, surely the whole point of killing the wildlife its too have enough left to throw on the BBQ afterwards. :D

dizzyblonde
24-02-14, 01:16 PM
I'm nother getting into such rideout triviality.

There's was plenty to go round. You just had to pick it out of the scenery. :-P

Matt-EUC
24-02-14, 01:18 PM
And your radiator. And your boots.

Littlepeahead
24-02-14, 01:25 PM
There were some suicidal sheep in Wales, just standing there looking stupid and biding their time waiting for a bike to come along before deciding that was the moment to jump into the road. Idiot creatures.

dizzyblonde
24-02-14, 02:00 PM
And your radiator. And your boots.

That was just it's stomach contents. You could get a right good portion of rump at one side of the road, and some racks of ribs and the front end was left in the chevrons in the middle of the road. Plenty of choice cuts

Matt-EUC
24-02-14, 02:01 PM
How fast were you going??!!

dizzyblonde
24-02-14, 02:08 PM
About 60mph, kitted up with camping gear.

The two travelling with me got a good show from behind

It jumped from higher above the road from a wall iirc. Then landed on my front wheel. I had furry wheel rims for months!

Scoobs

Does a holed radiator count? was out with the GM lot and ended up with a hole in it. Pulled over at the side of the road in a cloud of steam. fixed it will a bit of chewing gum to get me home.

Trying to clean that off after was a right pain in the ass.

Matt-EUC

Glencoe massacre or Guildford massive??

Scoobs
24-02-14, 04:18 PM
Guildford! Does that make a difference ;)

Matt-EUC
24-02-14, 04:21 PM
Yes.

andrewsmith
24-02-14, 08:57 PM
Play nice folks. This for the roll call of shame for people who've stuffed it coming, at or leaving the AR.

The Glencoe Massacre list is a can of worms that is the Doomsday list (I'm on it!)

You wouldn't want to see me...

Pretty sure Scoobs had to get a tow back home from Wales due to a bike to bike interface!
