Just uncovered the bike, first time since the storms as I fancy a plod about but have to do the turn around in the garden bit first!
Start to push the bike and it is compressing the front forks before the wheel is moving, last time I did it it sounded like something was rubbing.
Any ideas?
I dont have an ABBA stand either to pop it up on so cannot check it.
Is riding it out of the question, until its sorted?
Cheers all

I've got exactly the same on my explorer, got surface rust on the discs, I'm just about to go out and use a scotch pad to clean them up.
Never had it happen on any bike before.
Check out the calipers Ok too.
It's a good chance it's just surface like Spechalone's
But just the action of pulling pushing the caliper can move the pad back enough to free up

Just been out for a blast, moving fine now it seems.
Guess leaving it standing for a while only under a cover isn`t the answer!
Gonna build a garage, simple as.

Mine is sorted, 10 mins with a scotch pad and they are as free as before.

Don't assume it's just drag from surface rust, it might be the first signs of a binding caliper or piston. If you're not had them apart for a while might be a good time to do so before you ride with a dragging disc and warp it.

I`m going to remove the wheel this week and check all is ok, noticed a humming coming from the front wheel yesterday at speed, maybe the bearing needs checking/changing as well.
