Might seem a silly question but my sv is still at my parents place and I'm thinking how to get it in my flat :p
I was thinking of making a ramp, but the step is only 7 inches. Do you think I could bump it up easily enough? Just pushing it I mean. I don't to annoy my neighbours revving the bike in to the hall ;)

Be easy enough with just a short piece of wood to use as a ramp, might find that 7" will ground on the exhaust/bellypan without it.
short piece of wood to make a ramp? Easy to keep by the door.

A short piece of 4X4 laying in the step will make the biggest bump 3 1/2". An easy push up. Will it clear? IDK. Try it.

Don't wanna dampen your idea but before you think about leaving your bike in the house check your insurances for both the bike and the house... it might not be such a great idea...
no because your built like a stick insect...

Ok ramp it is then! I don't have house insurance so that should be fine. I'll check my bike insurance but don't see why they would mind?
Bib I am deceptively strong, trust me :)

....or let people move it into the lodge then wheel spin it on the way out :smt119

Get 2 lengths of 4" x 2" and nail/screw one (flat 4") to the other (upright 2") creating a "L" shape, then you only have to bump it up 50mm at a time.

If your going to be taking it in/out alot, id be making a nice removable wooden ramp the same width as the door.
Alternatively, im sure nothing would make your neighbours happier than hearing a thumping vtwin trying to get up a step. I certainly wouldnt mind.. Haha
