Vineys end of season rideout (rerun) 16.03.14

Hey fellow organs. As I didn't get round to running my end of season rideout last year I thought I would sort it out. Hopefully the worst of the weather has gone. Going to start from oakdene and trundle off to Brighton via some meandering route. Not sure the state of the roads so some u turns may be in order.

Start: Oakdene Cafe, Wrotham, A 20
Time:1030 departure sharp

End: Brighton

Route

- Leave Oakdene @ 1030
- 7 mile Lane
- A228 towards Tunbridge Wells
Work way through Tunbridge wells

1st Pick up (rolling) Approx 1100-1120
Outside KFC in T. Wells By junction of A26 & A267

A264 towards E. Grinstead

2nd Pick up
East Grinstead McDonalds approx Middayish

B2110 towards Turners Hill
B2028 towards Haywards heath
B2112 Towards Ditchling
OVer Ditchling beacon and down into Brighton.

End point Madeira Drive Brighton.

Homeward.
Lewes then A26 back up to Tunbridge wells.

Sounds like an idea! Just an observation- why not wait until the month end when the clocks go forward? Either way, I'm up for it if it goes ahead.

Scrap that, should have checked my calendar first, I come back from a Stag do in Poland on that day.. Riding wouldn't be the most sensible thing I've ever done!

So does that mean this is off?? Dropped my bike on Saturday trying to get it onto a paddock stand, missed the hook and over it went. Only real damage was the RH front indicator smashed to f*ck so I'm in the middle of a full LED conversion.

The bike will need a good ride, I could go for a ride into Brighton and back...where you all planning on stopping and around what time you thinking of arriving? Time is the important factor for me really.

I will post up a route when I have worked one out. I usually make this s hit up :-D however, we have a couple of people meeting us somewhere. We aim to be in Brighton around 1230 ish depending on usual selkent factors. Usually end up in Madeira drive Hythe chipshop

Viney I'm going to miss this one as I rode up to Chelsea today to see Chris in hospital and so tomorrow I need to get some stuff done before a charity dinner in the evening. If you are doing a season start one I'll try to make that, hopefully with Chris too as this latest op shouldn't delay him getting his licence back shortly. :cool:

Great day Viney, thanks for organising. Looking forward to the next one!:D I stopped off at Box Hill on my way back and it was rammed with bikes. All in all a great day in good company.
