as titled what rpm do regulators really come into charge voltage?

i think the way i have been riding i causing more harm than good...
usualy dont get the revs above 3-4k for my rides and dont really thrash or wind it up would this cause any problems riding this gentle?

Regulators don't work on a specific rpm, they have to do more work as more power is generated by the motor spinning faster, but even at idle they are doing some in converting the power from AC to DC and regulating voltage.

Riding gently is fine, but loading the motor with large throttle openings at very low rpm actually puts more stress on some components, so if the bike feels a bit laboured, or like it's struggling rather than smooth dial in some revs, you won't hurt the bike by revving it once it's warm.

same as what jambo has mentioned also i believe the max charging rate is at about 5k so shouldnt cause any problems riding gently as its still charging everything.
