Aldi bike kit (https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuys/sunday-9th-march/) sale on this coming Sunday for those of you in GB.
Thanks for the heads up. Wouldn't mind trying the jeans.

Compression kit and base layers are excellent. Been using both the Lidl and Aldi sets for around 4 or 5 years now, still going strong despite near daily use and dozens of times through the washing machine.

They have some good stuff, The alarmed padlocks make excellent disc locks, and the chain and padlock are good quality and a great price.
The helmets are lousy for wind noise and rain & wind leakage ! But they are only £29.99
The bike covers are good for gusts of wind up to 10 mph but will then rip.
The gloves are ok but don't expect them to expel any rain !
Boots feel really plasticky.
The paddock stands are excellent value and quite sturdy, had mine 3 years now. Only problem I had was trying to find hooks for my bikes bobbins.
Can highly recommend the compression thermals, used for 2 years now, but just replaced with the Lidl ones that feel a lot more comfortable.
My mate loves his Kevlar jeans from there, I already had some so didn't get any from there.
Never bought the jackets or trousers from them, they were always sold out by time I got there !
The socks to be honest are no different to a £1 pair from Asda !
These are of course just my opinions, but may be useful for anyone who was thinking of getting them :)

Good shout Zippie01. I might just get one of those padlocks.

Squirt it with ACF 50
I can't get the one of mum's side gate 9 month old
The alarm works on it still. Dammit
Picked up the jeans and pretty impressed for the price. Only available in a 34.5 leg though so may not be ideal for those with a shorter inside leg. Picked up another chain as well.

It was a bloody bun fight at my nearest Aldi. Got a pair of the jeans but they'll need taken up slightly (thank the lord for great mums) The knee protectors sit fine when I'm on the bike so its all ok & I'll take hip protectors out of my old gericke leathers. SORTED!
It was crowded at the colchester store.
But well mannerd.
I got the thermals, 34 jeans chain and a pair of touring trousers.
There's lots of boots (I doubt that the mrs let me have another pair in the house so I declined).
One chap said the lid was great value. I said I didn't think I'd trust my head to a £30 helmet, that got a laugh
