Hello lovely folks of the South West Surfers, we now have dates for the summer Bike Nights here in Weston super Mare. As always they will be held on the Beach Lawns and supported by Scallys, on Carlton Street.
The proceeds from Bike Night are donated to the Royal British Legion (http://www.britishlegion.org.uk/), a worthy charity that looks after retired and injured service personnel.
Last year we had a very good summer with a lot of sunny evenings, while the year before was soaked! This year we will be there no matter what and as usual My partner Carol will be providing the music along with our mates, Punk DJ Ghost and Chill Out DJ Prof Plums.
I will be seen wandering around, farting and playing with an Owl, expect Plums to be shouting out rude things about me and my overly active bottom. Alby will of course be present for photos and cuddles. This year we would ask that if you have your photo taken with Alby, you drop a small donation in her bucket and not a white sticky donation like she did last year!
I met some lovely people from the Org last year and as always just so you know, I am rather shy in person which is why I tend to be quiet. If you can make it down, I would love to meet you though and can offer hugs from me and the bird (Alby, not the wife!).
There is a chance that I will be in Thailand for a couple, but the rest of the Team will be there anyway, even if it snows, hails, asteroids crash down from Mars etc...
Have a great summer all of you, ride safe and remember that Bike Night is a great time for the Rozzers to catch speeding bikers, so be aware and take it easy.
Hugs from us all

Hi folks, I can confirm that I will miss the first two Bike Nights of the 2014 season, but this will not stop us from providing the music.
However, I am attending Bike Week in Phuket, while riding a Kwak Versys. So expect the occasional update and photo of what we get up too.
See you all in May, big scary Jayney hugs

Hey folks, tonight is Weston Bike Night, the first of the 2014 season and I will be missing it. Don't fret though because I have a good reason, I am on Koh Samui for Bike Week!
I hope that you are all having some wonderful weather and that you will all turn up and be fabulous. If you want to freak out my friend Rich, go to the music booth and tell him that I said Hi! :D

It is that time of the week again and the weather looks crabby to say the least. Cloud and possible showers, how many folks will be in attendance this evening?
I am undecided at the moment if I am honest. If you are going and feel like saying hello let me know. I will be the shy quiet one stood at the back if I go.

I'm waiting for a dry day to head down with a few friends - much more preferable to the wet stuff :-)

The bike nights are what you make of, plenty of other people's bikes to admire, gulls to avoid, etc.
Given the current weather I may end up attending this evening but won't be till around 7ish at a guess.

Hi folks, I have missed a few Bike Nights of late due to being a sick old bag, but I will be about for as many as I can. My bike is now off the road while I strip her down for a rebuild, so if I am on a bike it will be the wife's ZRX. Don't worry though, I still love SVs and will battle through my shyness to say hello if you can find me. I am often seen wandering around with an owl nailed to my wrist or in a yellow jacket that says First Aid on the back!
Should make it down for a couple more this summer :) Still, it was nice to meet you (and Alby) at Nailsea bike show last week. The plans for the SV sound amazing!

It was nice to chat to you, come and say hello again if you can get to Bike Night, I promise to be on less drugs so wont be as spun out!

Now that we are into September we are counting down the weeks until the last event of 2014. It has been a funny old year for me and Bikenight, I have missed more than I have been too and the weather has been kinder to us this year than it has been in previous years.
If you have not yet made it get down soon before you miss them all.

Might pop down this week, I need a new leather jacket. Do they have any stalls selling bike gear??

Hey folks, it is warm and dry, but a little over cast, so Bike Night this evening should be a good one.
Due to my own poor health, I may not make it this evening, but if I make it, I look forwards to seeing some Orgers/Organs down there.

Well Bike Night is over and there is only remembrance Sunday to go before we all get the winter off to work on our bikes ready for next year.
If you made it down, thank you for coming. If you did not make it this year, do please come in 2015, the RBL appreciates every pound donated. My Mother in Law works at Legion House here in Weston and often mentions the people that come to stay, some of them are very traumatized people who need a lot of care and some are very frail old soldiers who are seeing their friends passing away. She had some old Gurkhas in recently who she says were very polite, very charming and very gentle, I think that she enjoyed having them stay.
Seeing the work that the RBL do first hand like that makes us realise just how important they are in caring for our old forces and these days even young medically retired forces personnel.

Here you are folks, have a look at this one and see what you missed if you did not make it down to Weston even once in 2014.
Please let 2015 be just as sunny, warm and successful.
The video is made by the wifey (who is available for video recordings of Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs and cases against seventies DJs :smt081 ) and you can find more of her stuff on line.
