Recommend me... a destillery to visit?

Hi,

Could anyone recommend a nice distillery to visit? Having a few friends over and thought it would be a good excuse to finally see one.

There's obviously plenty of them around, wondering which one to choose...

The Glenfiddich distillery is pretty good, and not too far away. Been there numerous times. Or hop on the whiskey tour coach for the day, thats always fun.

What about the Talisker distillery on Skye? Then you'd get to go to Skye...

Glenfiddich seems the most obvious nearby, someone suggested Dallas Dhu in Forres?

Depends how far we'll go, if we get to the IoS, then why not. Not sure what the plan will be at the moment.

Ditto to Talisker, very pretty surroundings, and you might even see an eagle or 2 swooping through the glen.

I second Glenfiddich. For a freebie you get quiet alot out of it. Have always taken any friends ive had up from down south there

My dad and I did the Glenfiddich last year on our trip round Scotland. Very interesting about all the land etc. Well worth a visit!
