Gravel rash, big bruises, and inability to walk.

Sitting on a bike for a few hours might be too painful. We'll see I'm not out yet.

I used to have a ram mount that fitted in the top yoke nut of the SV, maybe something like that for the Daytona? from there: http://telferizer.com/

The 675 is listed, but the pic is for a sprint...you get the idea though:

Had a proper look at the 2 routes, the 80 mile one is what we want, it is the real deal past the pub of meat...the 107 mile route is the cambridge dash and is for another ride out ;)

I've got both ITN (TomTom) and GPX (Garmin) files for it, you can download them from here (in a zip): http://www.mediafire.com/download/28tvyq11dd4nqhf/March_Meat_Run_(80_Miles).zip

BTW, I have installed my Garmin mount on the beast tonight BUT I wont be leading! Not on that thing....I'll want to push it and I am not used to cornering on it just yet (no chicken strips mind you ;))...I want to stay in one piece!

Nope, but if you're referring to the meat run the original link posted is for google maps, that should get you to what you need.

If Tyre can make them then I could give you what you need, any of the types in the screenshot attached help?

kaivalagi
29-03-14, 05:25 PM
Did a reccy today, the bacon/egg bap at the red lodge sorts you out, the pub we'll stop at is 30 miles from the end of the route and is called the Red Lion. The roads were nice, not as demanding on the rocket as I first thought they would be but some challenges for a 380kg bike, I definitely don't want to lead!....

Need to be careful on the last 10 mile stretch thanks to quite a lot of loose stuff in the centers of the lanes, it ment I had to ride in quite a narrow section of the road in places to feel comfortable in the corners. The route did take me through a little bit of urban roads about a 3rd in but that might have been my garmin / gpx file points, 5 minutes of it tops though.....also some speed retrictions are there that weren't last time I did it! Bloody 50 mph reductions...

Oh and the first waypoint is the other side of the road from the cafe (left of the road) so if you pull in before it for the meet and pull out after it it might not register it being passed in the route....might be be just removing the first waypoint ;)

Yeah I didn't realise how close Braintree was to that area, let us know what it's like if you do go...it's an hour and a half for me to get to....might be worth a early morning ride out though for a 10am meet up...I'll play with google maps to see what I can make of the trip down :)
