View Full Version : Buying leathers from abroad
Looking for some new leathers, seems that buying online from shops in Italy seems to be a lot cheaper. The suit I'm after is about £150 cheaper at

Has anyone dealt with this company or had any problems from buying abroad?
Although I am 90% sure they will fit as I have tried the same suit on in a shop I am worried that if there is a problem it'll be a pain to rectify.

I've bought stuff from Italy, although not that particular firm, and would happily do so again. Maybe I've been lucky and I'm sure problems do arise, but that happens with UK firms too.
Some form of distance selling regulations apply in all EU countries, so you're not without protection. As with any sizeable online purchase, abroad or in the UK, I try to satisfy myself that it's a genuine firm and always pay by credit card.
The "If it looks too good to be true" rules do apply but if you've found prices are genuinely lower in Italy then there's no reason not to take advantage of that. No import tax to worry about either.

Check the import duty on it and don't forget to Iinclude the cost of postage. You may not save as much as you think.

Italy is part of the EU, there is no import duty to pay.
As with anything Italian, the sizing could be on the small side
