Evening All

I've just got back from my first race meeting on only the second time I've been out on my 99 Carby SV650.

I was losing a lot of power down the straights and I think part of it is down to the front spark plug cap making a poor connection with the spark plug itself.

So, I want to replace both spark plug caps, but I'm not keen on paying £50 to the dealers for a pair of OEM ones when a pair of NGK ones are about £8 to £20.

It's part number 12 on here I want to replace:

The problem is, I don't have the bike with me, it's at the other end of the country and I'm uncertain of which one to order. This is what I was looking at but they have plenty others there.

I did have a search on the forum and can't find anyone else mentioning replacing them. Thanks for any help in advance.

The only ones that fit well are the OE ones, if you replace with an alternative it will need to be a straight one, I haven't found an aftermarket one that's long enough - up to the bend that is - that will clear the cylinder head cover, the NGK one you link to isn't long enough.
Whatever you fit, make sure you can lash the original seal on well enough to make it run in the rain.
