Hi all,

I've just got a new Kriega US-10 tailpack - the one with the new hook-and-loop strap system.

I've been delving about under the seat cowl of my pointy, but I'm at a bit of a loss as to which bits I should loop the straps around. They always seem to foul the bits the rubber feet of the cowl need to be sitting on, so it won't close properly. Either that or the buckles end up sitting right on the plastic - which makes me worried about cracks and scratches.

Where have you guys put yours? (If you have any pictures I'd be very grateful.)

Cheers! :)

Don't know the make up of the pointy but on my curvy I released the rear seat plastic surrounds and looped the straps round the bike frame. I then cut 2 small notches in the plastic to allow the straps to come through when the pillion pad was in place. When cutting I used a fine toothed junior hacksaw to make the vertical cuts and then filed the area away between. I also left the cuts just short of the base line and rounded the internal corners to avoid any stress to the plastic and resultant cracking. Worked fine on my previous ninja 600 and seems to be working since I swapped to the SV.
Hope this is of some help. Hopefully someone with a pointy will chip in soon.
Cheers

The back ones have to go on sideways on the rear crossbar , that what i did when i had them, so each strap has a half twist in it under the seat. I have loads of sh!t under my cowl and they still fitted well.

I sold mine though and bought a LOMO bag before they were in a ride review causing them to triple in price.
