I am looking to buy a SV650 ( the upright version) for my wife who is doing her DAS at the moment.
Is there anything I should watch out for?
All tips and info will be gratefully received!
Budget up to £1400.

If you get a pointy (2003 on), check the TPS adjustment. It will help with slow speed manoeuvring.

Welcome, the only thing that I know to watch out for is you end up a bit obsessed with the SV, ut then I feel the same way about my V-Strom.

My Wife is now the proud owner of a Blue SV650 2001 sport with raised handle bar conversion:)
I rode 340 miles last night to view and buy.
I now have to drop the suspension, cut down the seat and give it a damn good service and clean!


What dog bones would you recommend?
Should I stay clear of any in particular?
