was feeling a bit retro this morning so threw on what in my opinion is a modern classic movie
Hackers
now I know its nowhere near factual but as a youth I thought it was mint, jonny lee millar at his best and who can complain about a young miss jolie
may even do another oldie like pump up the volume when I get in later
so anyone else watched a cracker from there younger days recently

I watch Back to the Future at least once a year.
Top Gun gets an outing now and then due to the excellent sound track on the surround-o-sound.

My 80's film collection is probably bigger than the rest of it combined.
I think the last one I watched was either D.A.R.Y.L. or flight of the navigator.

I'm a big fan of the old dystopian future type films:
The Running Man
Rollerball (original)
Total Recall (original)
Actually a lot of Arnies old stuff. Does help that the leading ladies often wore jumpsuits.
I still need to watch Logan's run

There are few films I try to watch at least once every couple of years. Breakfast Club and St Elmo's Fire are favourites of that era, I try to watch one of the Alien films (RIP H.R. Geiger by the way) from time to time, Bladerunner, I must watch Four Weddings again soon, Smokey & The Bandit (1 or 2, never 3), Dune occasionally, Flash Gordon, just introduced the boys to The Princess Bride. I've got a bit of a soft spot for Beaty & The Beast too.

Got Sam Peckinpahs' "Cross Of Iron" to watch. Seen it loads but not in awhile.
Recently got "24HR Party People" which is a gem.
I love old 80's action movies, they were so much better back then, lot's of violence, swearing and nudity. Not like the watered down PG rated rubbish they make now. Yes the acting is awful and the special effects basic but they have a certain charm to them.
Robocop, Predator, Commando, Running man all brilliant films.
Wish they would make films like that now with modern special effects, the recent Rambo remake is a good exception.

for me, there are two classic starring Malcolm McDowell
I guess If, half in black and white and half in colour appealed to me as a school kid, the idea of blowing away all the teachers etc. plus of course the nookie
and a clockwork orange. Had to wait decades to see it after having sneaked into the pictures as a 12 year old.

Not particularly old but both Leon and Ronin get watched regularly other than that it's
Alien
Star Wars,
Predator,
Platoon,
Rambo,
Rocky,
Terminator
Need to buy a copy of the original Robocop film as the new remake is a pile of carp

Leon and Ronin are indeed both fine films and the original Robocop is definitely worth a watch.
