Pointy regulator fit Curvy?

My regulator on my 2000 sv650s isn't working, I have a new one but its for a pointy model. Is there anyway to make this one work, as one of the connectors is different, It has 4 wires on one of the connectors going into a 3 pin connector on the bike.

Yes you can do this. I'd solder the connector from the curvy unit onto the pointy one so you leave the bike's loom unmolested
