Hi everyone.

One of my mates has just had his R/R go which left him stuck on the side of the dual carriageway in the rain. He's back now but we just need to replace the R/R.

Can anyone please let me know if the ZX636 C1H 2005-2006 R/R can be fitted to the SV? and what the additional wires are for?

Thanks.

I see no reason it wouldn't work on an SV650.

I don't have a wiring diagram for a 2005 ZX6R but my 2002 wiring diagram reads thusly:

3x Black inputs from altenator (usa uses yellow).

4 outputs. Plain black unused (looks to be additional +ve in usa). Black/Blue looks to be main positive. Black/Red live for lights. Black/White main earth.

Thanks Jambo. How would I go about wiring this up then? Thought the SV only had 3 for the alternator and 2 outputs.

Would I need to combine the Black/Blue and the Black/Red together?

I'd probably just pick one of the +ve outputs (say Black/Blue) and the -ve Black/White and leave the others insulated and disconnected assuming that gave enough output, but I'm happy to be corrected by others that know more than me.

Yep, ZX6 will be fine.

I used a ZX6R mosfet r/r wired straight onto the battery via a 30amp fuse and it's been brilliant.:D

Use both positives together.
