My parents haven't been on the Chunnel and I think they'd enjoy it. The question is what to do once there!
The Normandy beaches seem too far away, I wondered about going to arras which is quite nice, but any other recommendations? Not sure if there is much to see at Dunkirk?

Thanks

Bruges, about 1 hour from Calais, a great place to spend a day or two.

As you head from Calais on the main road to Reims you get to a very interesting museum about the launching of the V1 rockets, it is all well catered for English as well as French, it is called La Coupole.

The Thiepval memorial is an hour or so from Calais if they are into history (as you mentioned Normandy)

+1 on Thiepval. We took the boys on a "find the WW1 relative" trip a couple of years ago which included Thiepval. Museum very interesting and the memorial site is a sobering place indeed.
