Harley-Davidson seem to have dragged themselves out of the 1960's and into the 21st Century. It's only a prototype for development and testing at the moment, but it does look pretty cool.

And they're going to put a f'ing enormous speaker on it that's makes a blublublblublublub noise while you're idling. And when you really open the throttle, it'll play a recording of someone blowing raspberries, or the farts of 50 year old gay men.
Other sounds are available, like "the follow through" and "the sweaty one"

Just like the BMW S1000RR comes with pipe, slippers, hi-vis vest and IAM membership card, I suppose.
I don't expect that the beardy beer-bellied Harley traditionalists would be seen dead on something this modern.

No, apparently
Harley is very proud of LiveWire's soundtrack, which it describes as, "Fighter jet on aircraft carrier."
WTF
If you're going to have a completely made up sound for your new bike, at least pick something cool. A TIE Fighter or a Saturn 5 launching, a Shelby Cobra at full chat. But no, they are proud that their prototype is going to whine like Val Kilmer in a jumpsuit.

Electric motorcycles......without a decent range or batteries that don't cost a fortune every few thousand miles what's the point? Nice that HD are finally producing something new though.
Oh and what's wrong with beards and beer bellies!
Re Electric Harley
Something different from Harley I suppose, but I saw the Mugen at the TT ridden by Macpint, clocked at 154 mph,ok only 1 lap but that's rapid, but must agree the sound is a bit naff....even on a racer!!!
A TIE Fighter
if they fit it with green lasers... where do i sign?
*goes off to find Darth Vader style lid*

It looks like a big lump to me, and if it only needs the brakes I see in front, it wont have much of a top speed. Probably no endurance either, And they'll probably ask $60,000 U.S. scrip for it.
There is a chance it will be reliable. Maybe they can have it built in Korea or India....
