View Full Version : New Little run-about...
I've wanted one of these for 20 years! Picked it up yesterday and in true Canadian tradition, drove home 8 hours from the nearest city! :-):-)

+1 lol (nice truck)
5.4 Triton V8. 300 BHP. Sits at 1500 RPM when you're speeding. :-)
... about 15 miles to the gallon... without towing anything :-O But hey, petrol is 60p a litre.
It took me 6 months to find one WITH 4 doors! You never know when 40" of rear leg room will come in useful. Like getting 6 guys in it when a Grizzly bear wanders into the fishing pool and you have to scarper! :-)
Handles like a bus with flat tires but hey, you can't have everything. and it goes places your average BMW can't even imagine... with 6 Grizzly bear avoiders in it. :-)

Nice truck, I assume you'll still need some snow chains for it? Should be fun when the winter comes along anyway :)
Winter tyres are compulsory here. Studded ones even better. They really are incredible to drive on. However, the one thing that's ridiculously expensive here are tyres. It'll cost over a grand to shod this on all four corners... for the discount ones! But the upshot is, you swap your winders for summers and visa versa so you get years out of each set.

Nice, when I worked in Texas in the 90's, I had the older version of this, loved it, 5l v8.
Twin tanks, but back then it was around $0.90 a gallon for 89 Ron.
I think you'd fit my house on the back of that.
