Hi folks, due to personal circumstances i have decided to stop going out group runs and will be going it alone for the foreseeable future. i'm not discussing why so don't ask.

I don't know why and won't ask. But I will say, I enjoy riding for myself rather than with a group. No pressure to exceed ability, nor ride like a granny. The max number I ride with these days is about 3 friends, never with strangers. (Assuming, they finally fix my back/neck and I can get back on two wheels).

So go where you want, when you want. Enjoy.

This.

If you think about it, leading a ride is just like riding alone, assuming everyone can ride at your pace.

There's a certain place that riding solo can only take you.
Ride safe

You should move to the EAR region, you'll have no worries about riding in groups, can never get one organised ;)

Although the roads suck now I've seen what you have there!

Nice to meet you too btw, I never did thank you properly for those SV bits I got from you many moons ago...next time remind me I owe you a beer or three!

love you to Geo xx

dont think i could stay anywhere else than where i do as its a perfect jumping ground to most of the best biking roads in the UK. yes i'm spoilt for choice. when i get the chance i can go for an evening blast and not come across another vehicle for miles on the back roads, even the main roads after 8pm are pretty much empty.

Yeah, it's that horrible I'm not looking at how to get up there for more of those roads at all.....

I've been looking at house prices in Northumberland today, could get a nice 4 bed detached at a push for the price of my 3 bed semi, next stop is looking at what jobs I could find myself :) Just window shopping but there are possibilities in the future, say 3 years time or so...

ok lets make all the Londoners sick...
Kirkcaldy..
3 bed terrace (ex council) in a soso area £80-100k
3 bed detached in a nice area £150-180k
full monty villa in a very very nice area around £500k

you have to remember though that wages are proportional so if you earn £50k you will be looking at £35-40k for same job.

stress levels will be 1/2 priceless.

It's really carp up here, the roads are rubbish, the people horrible, rains most days and it's just pretty solid midges 24/7.

Stay away. Only visit now and again (GM?)
