So, I bought a 02 SV650S last week, and have been going through the bike and discovered that the previous owner's way of converting to handlebars was to simply drill the top triple and put clamps on.
They are dead straight and centered and the bike rides and handles great. Now, from pics I can see that the N has a wider triple. Is this necessary for strength and is there anything unsafe with how this conversion was done?
I'm wanting to keep bars on it and just curious if I need to buy new top and lower triples.
