Being only forty, I have stated most strongly that I am too young to be a Grandma, but actually I quite like it. Meet Luke and yes the force is strong with this one. :smt026

Carol's son and his girlfriend have had their first child and are finding that parenthood is both hard work and very rewarding. Seeing Beth doting over the baby I know that he is going to be spoiled, cherished and loved for the whole of his life and what more could you ask of your kids?

To my mind, at the age of eighteen, they were too young to spawn, but kids being kids, they knew best. However I am happy to report that the baby is surrounded by loving parents, Aunties, Grannies, friends and bikers so there are only good things in this child's life. I am sure that this child will grow up with the sort of childhood I was denied and that makes me so happy that I could cry with joy.

So yeah, I am a Grandma, but don't tell anyone. Or else...

Congratulations!! Joined the grandparent club at 44 (and a bit!) He is now 4 and able to twist me round his little finger with ease! Should have missed out the kids in the middle bit and gone straight to grandparent, lots more fun!

Amazing Jayne! Made up for all of you. Being a young parent is immensley difficult, but also immensley rewarding.

Just make sure you make great grandparents (which I'm sure you will), by taking some of the strain whenever you can. Mum & Dad are still gonna need quiet times together even though they're now proud parents.

Thank you every one for kind words, we have just been lucky enough to have the whole day with Luke and he was an angel. He barely cried, even when I had him upside down on the end of the fishing line as shark bait! :smt077

Nappy changing was fairly OK until the Poo! It was the colour of concrete and smelled like something had died! :smt083

The best part though was with me being quite ill at the moment, I was on bed rest today and Luke curled up on my chest under my duvet and went to sleep, which caused me to nod off too, so I got some rest aswell. :cheers:
