I have owned a lot of bikes and I have now purchased an SV650s :)
Only been out on it once as yet, although I did travel over 250 miles.
My first impressions are exceedingly good. I would have guessed the engine to be producing more power than it does. Pulls rather well and far better than I expected. So smooth it never feels like its being thrashed ! Just an all around superb bike ! Just wish I had bought one sooner :)

Cheers Dude :) Given the choice I would have chosen yellow :) Although the blue is growing on me.
The wheels need to be gold I think mmmmmm :)

Gold would go well with the blue. Could get them powder coated.

Yes it has crossed my mind. I will perhaps wait until I change the tyres :)
I once bought a new TT600 Yamaha which I cut through the spokes and sent the hubs off to Talon engineering and had 17" stainless spokes fitted and wide anodised gold rims. It looked mint lol

Yeah, they do look nice.

I have to say, your SV looks mint. Nice to see a curvy in such good condition.

Yeah Im as chuffed as a chocolate frog with it :)
Very well looked after with less than 16000 miles on it. I prefer the looks of the curvy by miles too :) A great buy and I love it already. So much bike for so little money :)

Any other plans for it apart from the wheels, or are you going to enjoy as is?

I am hoping to leave it as it is. I need to push it in the twisty bits to see if there are any short comings. I swore to stop racing like I always have. Time will tell I guess. So far it feels really good as it is. I had heard the forks are soft but mine are fine so maybe they have been sorted already. I even rather like the exhaust note of the standard can. Brakes are good and only require one finger.
Its fitted with BT23s. I have heard nothing but good reports on these tires but I doubt they are good enough to get my elbow down. I feel at the moment that these will be the limiting factor. If I can ride on the edge of these tires with the suspension as it is, then I shall be a happy bunny indeed. Most of my 250 miles were done on the motorway grrrrrr. I have also had a few years off biking so a bit rusty too lol. Seems to be coming back fast enough. I wished the Cat n Fiddle had not been trashed with speed cameras grrrrr.
Will hopefully go on the snake pass tomoz weather permiting. Then maybe I can put it through its paces properly. So far though it seems excellent.
I will only spend money if I feel the bike is lacking in a certain area. So far so good :)
